Apr. 15th - The Day That Was All Ears 👂

...and the biggest grin.

Mother Nature seems to have been in a foul mood today...the weather here in Central Texas has been dreary to say the least. Overcast skies, the sound of distant thunder, and rain showers have been present for the majority of the day, but I suppose we wouldn't have May flowers if we didn't have April showers. Due to the dismal conditions I decided the best course of action for today would be to stay inside, and because I had no lack of household chores that needed to be completed I guess you could say today's weather was a blessing. After completing said tasks I found myself with some extra time on my hands and decided to spend a few minutes scrolling through my Facebook feed. As I did my best to pass over the ever present politically charged posts my eyes fell upon what could possibly be the largest pair of ears I have ever seen on an animal. The size of those ears was only outdone by the cuteness of the smile on the muzzle that was poking through the bars of the barn door. Of course I immediately thought "I absolutely have to have one" (or maybe two...they do come in a miniature version), it would be like having my very own Eeyore (or two)! I must admit...that adorable donkey made a dreary day suddenly seem so much brighter, and I hope by sharing those ears and that smile I have made your day a little bit brighter as well.
