But it was a welcome sort of puzzled.

It has been an extremely busy yet fun day for me today. After packing up a few odds and ends Haleigh was unable to take with her yesterday, I set about transforming her former bedroom into a craft room for myself. With a bit of determination, quite a bit of sweat, and a furniture dolly (and maybe a not so nice word here and there) I was able to move a few items I had stored in the garage, the largest and most cumbersome being a desk/table I wanted for use as a work surface, into Haleigh’s newly vacated room. Once I had managed to maneuver the not so cooperative desk/table into the room I set about rounding up my crafting supplies, which have until now been stored wherever I have been able to hide them away, and neatly organized them in the closet which conveniently already has a set of built in shelves. While my newly designated craft room is far from complete I think I am off to a good start. With the heavy lifting and organizing done it was time for me to break in my newly situated work surface. As I posted earlier this week I scooped up a 500 piece puzzle in a white elephant gift exchange and, as I had finished all the tasks I needed to accomplish today, I decided I would attempt to begin piecing said puzzle together. As you can see I did not make a lot of headway, but in my defense I have not attempted to assemble a puzzle of this size since I was a child. Beginning that puzzle this afternoon brought back many happy memories of times past when my Dad, Mom, and I would sit and piece together puzzles during my childhood. Both of my parents have passed away so to have such happy memories of them brought to mind today made my heart feel a little lighter. I hope you too have many fond childhood memories to make your heart feel a little lighter as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
