Oops...I meant a Cricut, not a cricket. Silly me!!

Christmas has come a little early for me this year! As the Hubs and I sat patiently awaiting the start of Trans Siberian Orchestra’s livestream concert last night our conversation turned to our Christmas wish lists. It seems neither of us has drafted any sort of list to speak of, mine to date is blank and the Hubs consists of three items (all of which have already been delivered via Amazon, courtesy of his brother...so it’s back to square one for the Hubs). Knowing I have put quite a bit of effort into creating a new craft room for myself the Hubs made mention of the fact that he had been considering purchasing a Cricut for me, but he wasn’t sure if it was something I’d enjoy. I really have not had an occasion to use one before, but I do have a few friends who own one and they rave about theirs. After doing a bit of research this morning, and consulting a dear friend who has recently purchased a Cricut, I came to the conclusion no self respecting crafter could call their craft room complete without the inclusion of a Cricut! I told the Hubs I would love to have a Cricut for my craft room, casually making mention that I wish I had had one before now as I could have made several Christmas gifts for others if I had. The Hubs response was “If that‘s the case, we will get one today”. Little did either of us know it would be next to impossible to find one in stock in our area. After quite a bit of time spent online hunting for one, and one failed attempt to purchase one from a local retailer online for pickup today, an ever elusive Cricut was located at a retailer some seventy miles from our home. Well that was it...I just had to resign myself to the fact I would not be getting a Cricut today...but that was not to be the case. The wonderfully sweet and loving man I call the Hubs decided we would be driving three hours round trip today to get a Cricut for my craft room! That the Hubs would go to such lengths to bring a little joy to my heart is an indescribable feeling and incredibly special to me. I hope you have someone in your life who will go to whatever lengths necessary to bring you a little joy as well.

P.S. Please wish me luck as I will be attempting my first project tomorrow.

Blessings, Candi 💕
