Or more accurately...socks.

Today has been like Christmas Day all over again for both the Hubs and I. I received an email yesterday from my local craft retailer informing me I had earned thirty dollars in rewards, and let me tell you...it did not take me long to spend those rewards in the form of an online order! As I’m sure you’ve already deduced, I placed my order on Christmas Day, and because the store was closed for the holiday (how dare they!), I had to wait, somewhat impatiently, until today to pick up my order. I have to admit, it didn’t kill me to wait to pick up my order, it just felt like it might...lol! As I returned home from picking up my online order, I was pleasantly surprised to find the gift I had ordered online for the Hubs had finally arrived. In my defense, I had ordered it well in advance, but apparently it took the USPS five days to get it from Oregon to Washington, then another six days to get it from Washington to Texas, and yet another day to actually deliver it. Regardless, it had finally arrived and I could not wait for the Hubs to get home from work to open it! The Hubs has a thing for wacky socks...it’s his trademark, and also a way to rebel against the establishment just a bit I think. I was fortunate to discover a company who will take a picture of your pet, or child should you desire, and print them on a variety of different items. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a pair of socks made for the Hubs with Lilibet on them as I thought they would be a perfect gift for him. As the Hubs opened up the package and pulled out the socks, he at first seemed a little disappointed...socks for Christmas...how cliche, but as he took a closer look he realized they were not just any socks, they were socks with pictures of Lilibet all over them! After he got over his initial surprise, his eyes lit up and he began to smile from ear to ear...he now had a pair of socks with his actual cat on them! As I watched him smile at the thought of having socks with Lilibet on them, I couldn’t help but smile myself as I was reminded...sometimes the best way to bring a smile to your own face is to bring a smile to someone else’s face first. I hope you too will remember to bring a smile to someone else’s face so that you may also bring a smile to your own.
Blessings, Candi 💕
