I know...hard to believe I could have a short conversation, right?!

Today I was blessed to bump into a dear friend whom I don’t get to see nearly enough. As the Hubs and I were settling into our seats at church (you know how important it is to make sure you get “your“ seats at church), a dear friend of ours caught sight of us and made a point to come say hello. Being we had arrived a bit early for this morning’s service we had a few extra moments to enjoy in conversation with our dear friend. The conversation was not a long one, we discussed how each other’s Christmas holiday had gone, as well as what, if any, plans we both had for the upcoming New Year’s holiday. While it may seem it was a mundane conversation, one I’m sure you yourself may have had, it was still meaningful to me. It’s not the content of the conversation, or even the length of time the conversation lasted, that made the conversation special to me, it was the idea that our dear friend had made a point of approaching the Hubs and I to engage in conversation with us that was special. In today’s world of fear of Covid infection and social distancing, it would have been easy for our friend to use those worries as an excuse not to engage in conversation, but the fact that she did not is what makes her such a dear friend, and those can be difficult to find. Hopefully you too either have a dear friend like ours, or can be a dear friend like ours for others.
Blessings, Candi 💕
