Turns out heās quite an unusual creature!

As Iāve stated in previous posts, I am a huge animal lover with a weakness for rescue pets. So when a lonely looking dog showed up in the front yard one evening two years ago, of course I took him in. After two weeks spent trying to find his home with no luck, he was officially made part of the pack and named Pogo...because he bounces a lot, like a pogo stick. Aside from one or two incidences of bad behavior he has turned out to be a pretty good member of the pack. Part of making Pogo a permanent member of the pack entailed having him fully vetted, and when the receptionist asked what breed he was I had no answer for her. I took a stab in the dark based on his looks and answered with āborder collie mix I thinkā. Since that day the simple question of āwhat breed is he?ā has weighed on my mind. Recently I decided to take steps to find the answer to that question and had a doggy DNA test done (yes those do exist, and yes I really did have it done). Turns out Pogo is quite the mixture! From Poodle to Pitbull to Pekingese, American Foxhound to Australian Cattle Dog, Chow Chow to Chihuahua, and even a strange Mexican hairless breed of dog, it seems Pogo has eleven different breed DNAs in his genetic makeup...apparently my answer of Border Collie was not even close! I have to be honest, I chuckled a bit at the Poodle and Pekingese, as well as the Xoloitzcuintli, the strange Mexican hairless breed, but regardless I still love the little guy. Hopefully you too have had something to chuckle at today.
Blessings, Candi š
