It’s official...Mother Nature has completely lost her mind!
Well it seems Mother Nature decided to combine her polar vortex and Arctic temperatures with a rainy day, and the result is something I would never have thought I’d ever see in Central Texas...icicles! Normally the only sort of icicles you’ll see here in Central Texas come in the form of Christmas lights. With temperatures that hovered slightly below freezing and a steady rainfall all day, our little section of Central Texas has been covered in a sheet of ice. Given my aversion to winter weather, I was extremely happy I did not have to leave the house today. Instead, I spent the day in my craft room listening to the icy rain bounce off the windows (and more than one driver gunning their vehicle‘s engine with the misguided idea that doing so would enable them to finally make it up the considerably steep and high hill our house sits on) as I was finally able to make some serious headway on one of my current projects. As an added benefit, this particular project involves applying iron-on vinyl so my little craft room was made all the more cozy because of the heat generated by the heat press. It’s always makes my heart feel a little lighter when I know I’ve had a productive day and have made progress towards completing a project. I hope you’ve had a productive day and it’s made your heart feel a little lighter as well.
Blessings, Candi 💕
