And it most certainly will not be missed...by most of us!
Temperatures today in Central Texas were quite the opposite of the temperatures we have been experiencing for the past week, one could almost say they were polar opposites, with highs reaching into the seventies today. Needless to say...this was the final nail in the coffin of Mother Nature’s winter apocalypse here in Central Texas. As I glanced out the patio doors this morning I was overjoyed to see, with the exception of one extremely stubborn little patch, the patio was cleared of ice and snow! I think it would be fair to say both Piglet and Pogo shared my happiness at having a snow and ice free patio, as after I opened the patio doors for them to head outside they both happily traversed the patio without losing traction or having frozen their little paws. Lilibet was also eager to head outside, but for an entirely different reason. It would seem there is one occupant of our household who will miss the ice and snow. While Piglet and Pogo both happily headed across the almost wholly thawed patio for the lawn, Lilibet headed straight for the one stubborn little remaining patch of ice, and began eagerly licking at it as if it were the last form of water she would ever see (though she would like for you to believe she is never given fresh water by her stoopid hoomans, she does in fact get fresh water in her bowl daily). As I witnessed the actions of our pets outside this morning, I couldn’t help but feel relieved at the thought of life finally getting back to some semblance of normal here in Central Texas. While we may not be fully back to normal, we are making great headway at returning to normal, and that certainly makes my heart feel a little lighter today. I would hope you too would have your heart made to feel a little lighter should you find yourself dealing with less than favorable circumstances.
Blessings, Candi 💕
