I think someone was a little hangry!!

While the weather was not particularly pleasant today, I was still glad to get out of the house to meet some dear friends for breakfast that was to then be followed by some shopping (dangerous, I know!). In typical fashion for me, I was the last to arrive. I wasn’t too terribly late, as my friends had just been brought their coffee, and were chatting away as I approached the table. After saying our hellos, and the waiter had taken my drink order, they continued on in their conversation as I perused the menu. It wasn’t long before our waiter returned to take our order, so conversation was briefly halted while we each ordered our meals. After having placed our order, we dove right back into conversation. That’s when the trouble began...lol! While we each consider ourselves dear friends, we still have very different personalities and traits. Lisa is the story teller, Charlene is the problem fixer, and I am the introvert who takes it all in...don’t get me wrong, I can definitely do my fair share of talking, but in groups I tend to be more of an observer. As conversation continued we began to do what all friends do...we began to jokingly poke at one another. Please don’t think there were any malicious intentions...far from it, we just did what all friends do, we playfully put each other in our places. I think at one point the words “zip it...I’m telling a story here” and “don’t think I won‘t come across this table and smack you” were said. I can only imagine what those sitting around us may have thought of our conversation, but that’s just how we role...lol! The playful joking and ensuing laughter were just what I needed to raise my spirits after having a few not so wonderful days this week. Friendships like ours are not easy to find, and I am blessed to have found these wonderful women! Hopefully you have wonderful friends who aren’t afraid to “put you in your place” and make you laugh while doing so.
Blessings, Candi 💕
