Or I should say the doctor’s receptionist did.

As I’ve shared in previous posts, the Hubs and I both tested positive for COVID in late September of last year. While the Hubs had a much worse case of it than I did, we were both still blessed in that neither of us required hospitalization, and we are both extremely thankful for that blessing. While we have both made great strides towards a full recovery, we are both still experiencing some decidedly odd lingering effects of this strange virus. I had heard others talk about having experienced “COVID brain” for months after their initial infection, but I did not fully grasp just what it was they were referring to until it began to happen to the Hubs and I. Struggling to remember people’s names, thinking one word and saying a completely different one, the constant foggy brained feeling, and many other strange afflictions have become the day to day norm now. I had resigned myself to the thought that this would be the norm for the foreseeable future, but a tele-med appointment with my doctor last week gave me some hope there may be something out there to help combat these lingering effects. The doctor informed me of a treatment called the Myer’s IV treatment. It’s a twelve week course of IV vitamin and nutrient treatments administered once a week with the end result of hopefully helping in returning your body to it’s pre-COVID state. Today I was informed my health insurance company has okayed the treatment, and I begin treatment next week. Receiving that phone call today certainly gave a sense of relief (you know I’m feeling extremely relieved if I’m willingly going to subject myself to twelve sessions of having a big needle inserted into my arm), and has made my heart feel much lighter today. Should you find yourself going through a tough time, I hope you too will receive encouraging news.

Blessings, Candi 💕
