Jeez...I sure hope someone checks in on the critters!

This is one for the history books folks...the Hubs was actually able to leave work early today...woo hoo! In light of his having a two and a half day weekend we decided to hook up the trailer and get the heck outta dodge for the weekend! We hit the road and headed for Ft. Worth where we’re not exactly sure what we plan to do for the weekend, but whatever it is it doesn’t include staying at home! So far our adventures in Ft. Worth have brought us to a nice little KOA park in Arlington, a short exploration of the area we’re staying lead us to come across a road named Snooty Fox Dr. (seriously...kudos to whoever came up with that name!), a trip to a Tom Thumb grocers (a first for me...I’ve never heard of them before today), and a wonderful dinner at Meso Maya where they have the absolute best Carne Asada. I have to be honest though...I may have fibbed a bit about us not having any plans, we do plan on visiting one of our favorite Irish pubs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for a full Irish breakfast tomorrow, and then we may head off to a tulip farm located about an hour or so north of Ft. Worth. Apparently they have hundreds of different varieties of tulips and you can wander their fields picking your own tulips or simply enjoy the views of the tulip fields and take photographs. Provided the blooms have not been destroyed by the winter apocalypse of 2021, I will try to take some pictures to share with you in tomorrow’s post. Weekends like this don’t come often and I simply can’t explain just how happy it makes me to be able to spend this type of quality time with the Hubs! Hopefully you will be able to spend your weekend with someone special to you too.

Blessings, Candi 💕
