Mar. 19th - The Day I Found A Bargain 💵

And now I am expanding my crafting empire...bwahahahaha!!

If there is one thing there is no lack of here in Central Texas it is estate sales. It seems they have at least one every weekend, and today there were no less than three that started. I must admit...I have mixed feelings when I attend an estate sale. While it’s true you can find some extremely good bargains (like I did today), at the same time you, and usually dozens of other people, are essentially digging through the remnants of someone’s life, and I find that a bit sad truthfully. A few months ago I found a website that will send you an email to alert you of estate sales beginning in your area, and usually the company handling the sale will post pictures of as many of the items available as they can. Yesterday I received one of said emails, and decided I would peruse the pictures to see if there was anything of interest...and low and behold there was. I spotted two items in particular, a record player for the Hubs, he’s been looking at a lot of vinyl records lately but we don’t have a record player (really...who does in today’s digital world?), and a sewing machine for myself. Luckily I was only the tenth person in line waiting for the sale to start so I was able to procure my desired items. With the two desired items obtained, the Hubs can begin his vinyl collection, and I can conquer the crafting world (once I actually learn how to use my newly acquired sewing machine...lol). I have to admit...finding a good bargain always makes me happy, and today I was doubly happy. Hopefully you too will find a good bargain that makes you happy.
