Oh yes...I was excited by a simple cardboard box!

I bet you're wondering to yourself "what could be so exciting about a simple cardboard box?"...well said cardboard box contains the Cricut sublimation mugs I have been eagerly awaiting since I first ordered them on March 15th! I still haven't figured out just why it took so long for an average sized box to get from California to Texas, but at least it finally showed up...and that's more than I can say for the other half of the order, apparently it takes longer to ship an average sized box from Kentucky to Texas than from California (unless my geography is completely messed up, isn't Kentucky closer to Texas than California?). Oh well, I guess it's an opportunity for me to work on my patience...lol! Cricut recently released a new mug press, and since then it has been next to impossible to find a single sublimation mug in Central Texas...hence the reason for an online order and snail paced delivery. I have been working on designs for mugs that will be sent out as gifts, and the delay in shipping has had me chomping at the bit for those mugs to show up...today they finally did! I spent today finalizing said designs, and attempting my very first mug with Cricut's infusible ink transfer sheets (don't worry...the one pictured isn't one of the gifts, it's my "practice mug"). While it didn't turn out as nice as I had hoped, it did provide me with an excellent opportunity to learn how this particular medium behaves. With my "practice mug" done I was able to move on to the mugs I intend to send out as gifts. I only managed to finish two of five, but I'm sure my efficiency will improve with practice (I hope!). It always makes me happy to be able to gift someone an item I have made myself...to me it's a reflection of how much I care for them by making sure it's a gift that truly represents their personality and interests. I hope you too have found a way to show those you love just how special they are to you.

Blessings, Candi 💕
