Trust me...that's a big deal for me!

I have to be honest...chemistry was my absolute least favorite subject in school! I'm not sure if it was because I just couldn't seem to wrap my head around it, a complete lack of interest in the subject, or the fact that I despised my chemistry teacher (she was one of the meanest spinsters of all time!), but chemistry is the one and only subject I ever received an almost failing grade in. Regardless of my past dealings with the subject, chemistry proved to be quite a bit of fun today. I spent the day in my craft room finally completing the coffee mug project I have been playing around with for the past few days. Using a combination of my Cricut cutting machine, infusible ink transfer sheets, and a mug press I was able to create some really nice looking coffee mugs. I can't fully explain the science behind it, but apparently when the infusible ink comes into contact with a polymer coated coffee mug and subjected to extreme heat while being squeezed in a mug press, it creates a chemical reaction, and the result is a brightly colored (and dishwasher safe) coffee mug you've designed yourself! In all honesty, I think I much prefer the design process to the actual process of making the coffee mug, it can be a tedious task at times, but the final product makes it all worth it. Having gained a new appreciation for the science of chemistry, I'm excited to see what other items I can create using this mystifying process. Being able to expand my horizons, and learning a new appreciation for something I've previously disliked, brings me a sense of growth and happiness. I hope you too will be able to expand your horizons or perhaps gain a new appreciation for something you've disliked previously.

Blessings, Candi 💕
