And plague doctors, and dogs, and flamingos, and rats, and hippos, and longhorns too of course!
I believe I introduced you to Frank the Christmas Gargoyle in a post a few months ago. In case you missed said post, here's a synopsis: it would seem a neighborhood Karen took offense to the fact someone would not remove the "not at all Christmas-like gargoyle" on their porch, prompting the homeowner to continually add yet more and more decorations and creatures throughout the Christmas season, all of which was documented on a Facebook page called Frank the Christmas Gargoyle. What at first started out as a page to document a continually aggravated neighborhood Karen soon became a worldwide phenomenon, and even managed to raise tens of thousands of dollars for a local food bank. Apparently Frank made so many friends, and had so much fun over Christmas, he and his friends decided to continue their celebrations over many holidays such as Mardi Gras, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and many more (basically any reason...just so long as it continued to annoy Karen). Now it would seem Frank and his gang have begun their Easter celebration, complete with newly hatched peeps. Normally I wouldn't condone taking actions to deliberately annoy another person, but in this particular case it's less about annoying someone and more about taking a stand against the type of person who feels they have the right to tell others what is right or wrong. Not only has Frank's human taken a stand, she has used the popularity of Frank and his friends to help others...something we should all be doing more of, especially in light of the events of this past year. Knowing there are people like Frank's human out there make my heart feel a little lighter. I hope you will check out Frank's page for yourself, I think the antics of Frank and his friends will make your heart a feel a little lighter as well.
Blessings, Candi š
