Who knew rubber duckies were so much fun!

It’s been a pleasant day here in Central Texas, making it much more enjoyable to be out and about today, and as I had an appointment this morning, I was certainly glad for the change in weather. I had made plans to visit with a good friend after my appointment and a quick errand, and as luck would have it, the timing worked out so that we could enjoy a yummy lunch together as well. While I was able to be out and about today, my friend was not as she was caring for her beautiful little granddaughter. I have to admit...I was actually happy she was not able to get out to meet me because it meant I would have the chance to finally meet her adorable granddaughter. As I arrived with lunch in hand, I was met at the door by my friend holding a smiling little cutie patootie in her arms. Unfortunately, said cutie patootie did not seem to be happy to make my acquaintance as she began to cry after I did what most adults do when meeting an adorable baby...I gave her rosy little cheek a pinch (more of a stroke really...I’m not a monster!). Happily, it would seem while we sat eating lunch she began to warm up to me. With lunch finished, but our conversation not, we headed into the play room so a certain wiggly little one could expend some energy as we continued to chat. Now let’s be honest...no one can sit in a playroom with an adorable little one and not join in on the fun...so that‘s just what I did, and I was even given the honor of sharing cutie patootie’s rubber ducky! As all good things do, our time together had to come to an end as a certain little one was quickly becoming a bit sleepy, but as I backed out of the driveway I had the biggest smile on my face. It would seem a dose of good conversation and sharing a rubber ducky were exactly what I needed today. I hope there is a cutie patootie out there who is willing to share their rubber ducky with you too.
Blessings, Candi 💕
