I woke up today with a sense of determination. I have been working on a project for our life group and lately Iāve been dragging my feet on completing the second phase of the project. I have thoroughly enjoyed the creative outlet thatās been provided in the form of the Cricut my Hubs gave me for Christmas, but I still have a lot to learn, so at times I lack confidence in myself and in turn tend to put off attempting new things. After giving myself a little pep talk (okay...maybe a big pep talk), I finally took the plunge and started in on the second phase of my project. This phase involves using my Cricut to engrave on small stainless steel items, and the task of aligning those little items is nerve wracking to say the least! After one or two failed attempts, I finally managed to get the hang of getting things aligned properly and got down to the business of engraving. I must admit...I was very pleased with the end result. I donāt think Iāll be marketing to any major retailers any time soon, but I think they came out very well for a first time effort. Even though I wasnāt able to get as many items engraved as I wanted, I did prove to myself that I do have the skills needed to complete phase two of my project and that definitely brought a smile to my face. Sometimes we just need to set aside our fears and jump in feet first to prove to ourselves we have what it takes to accomplish our goals, and I hope you will do the same should you find yourself putting off attempting new things because of a fear of failing...you might just surprise yourself and succeed!
