Everyone should know the meaning of the word puggle!

ree

I didn’t wake up this morning thinking I needed to expand my vocabulary, but apparently it was meant to be. I have always been an animal lover, and I am especially fond of baby animals. There is just something I find irresistible about an innocent little fuzzy creature. I don’t know if it’s their tiny little features, their willingness to be cuddled, or just their inherent innocence, but I just can’t resist the urge to cuddle a baby animal (and yes...I am one of those weird people who loves the smell of puppy breath). That particular trait may just be why the Hubs tries to keep me away from petting zoos and pet stores...lol! While I don’t often get the chance to cuddle and play with a lot of baby animals, I still manage to satisfy the urge by watching a lot of veterinary and zoo shows on networks such as Animal Planet and National Geographic Wild, as well as following almost every zoo related page on Facebook. It was while scrolling through one of the aforementioned zoo pages on Facebook today that I discovered a baby platypus is referred to as a “puggle”. I don’t know about you, but I for one think puggle is most definitely an apt name for a baby platypus...that cute little face with a big old bill and eyes combined with that chunky body, big flat tail, and enormous webbed feet just screams “puggle” to me! It’s the sort of name you can’t help but giggle at when you hear it...at least I can’t. I hope there is a word you too find yourself unable to contain a giggle upon hearing as well, as a good giggle always makes the day better.

Blessings, Candi 💕
