I swear it wasn’t me...she did it all on her own!

It has been a pretty quiet day here in Central Texas...with one exception. Apparently our lawn care company decided today would be a good day to get back to the business of mowing lawns (they’ve been caring for our lawn fives years now and I still never know what day they‘ll show up!), and it would seem Lilibet was not at all prepared for the sound of their equipment. One minute she was comfortably napping on the arm of the couch, and the next minute she was rudely awakened by the sound of a mower and leaf blower. The result of this rude awakening was a mad dash to our entertainment console where she sought shelter behind the wired door. I’m not quite sure just what sort of protection she felt would be provided by the thin wire door, but she apparently thought it was the safest place to be at the moment. It would also appear she seemed to think I was in some way to blame for all the noise...as you can tell by the look on her face as she stared at me from behind her self imposed prison. Luckily, our lawn care crew has their routine down to a science and had our lawn completed within ten minutes, allowing me to ensure Lilibet she was no longer, nor had she ever been, in any danger, and therefore free to emerge from behind bars. While Lilibet failed to find the situation amusing...I most certainly did! I’m not sure if it was the noise, or my amusement at her reaction to the noise, but I don’t think she’s forgiven me for either yet...Lol! I may have to sleep with one eye open tonight in case she decides to get her revenge, but the laughter provided by the whole incident was worth it! I hope you too have found something to laugh at today.
Blessings, Candi 💕
