I have to admit...it's nice being your own boss.

I have been spending quite a bit of time working in my craft room learning a new design program and attempting to improve my sublimation technique. Many days of trial and error practicing the sublimation process on an array of test items, combined with time spent watching YouTube videos to improve my knowledge of the design software, have resulted in my becoming a bit overwhelmed. I have rather quickly learned that when people claim a design program is "extremely easy to use" what they really mean to say is "extremely easy for someone with design software experience to use"...I do not fall into that category. I have also rather quickly learned that if you are motivated (and/or stubborn) enough you can find almost any instructional video you need on YouTube. My first, and most important, lesson was to learn where the undo button was located in my design software (trust me...it's my new best friend). My second, and much more difficult, lesson was to exercise patience (not exactly one of my virtues) during the learning process. Fortunately for me, a dear friend of mine had invited me to lunch this afternoon. Said lunch was extended to include an afternoon of browsing craft and gift boutiques for crafting ideas, followed by a yummy late afternoon latte in a local bookstore/coffee shop. Spending the afternoon away from my craft room (and more importantly) in the company of a dear friend was exactly what I needed to reset and make my heart feel lighter today. I hope you also have a dear friend that spending time with helps you reset and makes your heart feel lighter.

Blessings, Candi 💕
