May 7th - The Day We Added An Ox To Our Family 🐂

Allow me to introduce Babe the Big Blue Ox!

I know it says Ram on the front of the truck, but I have chosen to call it Babe in honor of Paul Bunyan's big blue ox. "Why?" you ask...because it was purchased to increase our towing capacity, a.k.a. our pulling power, and what are oxen used for...pulling of course! We have actually had Babe two weeks now, but we had a few accessories we wanted to have installed before she was immortalized on the internet (she's a tad vain and wanted to look her best). This was a decision we had considered, pondered, and prayed over for quite a while. Our former truck had served us well during our maiden voyage with our travel trailer, but it was made clear to us we could certainly use a bit more pulling power than our half ton truck provided us. When Babe, all three quarter ton and four wheel drive of her, was delivered to the dealership where the Hubs works our decision was made...we were trading up! While Babe provides us with much greater towing capacity, she also presents a bit of a challenge (for me at least) as she is quite a bit higher off the ground making for quite a challenge to hop in and out of the cab...thank goodness I was blessed with long legs courtesy of my father (and genetics)! Both the hubs and I are happy and excited to explore all the new avenues of adventure that have now been opened up to us. The best part for me is the fact I will be experiencing said new adventures with my best friend...and that, to me, is the perfect way to enjoy an adventure. Hopefully you have the opportunity to experience new adventures with your best friend as well.
