Don’t worry...it’s not as crazy as it sounds!

It’s been a long few days for the Hubs and I, we’ve covered a lot of ground with our new travel trailer. Yesterday was our longest travel day so far, we covered over 400 miles between Carlsbad, NM and Tucson, AZ, and it was long after dark when we finally pulled into our campground in Tucson. I think it’s safe to say that both the Hubs and I were beyond tired, that’s why neither one of us noticed the little tree growing beside our campsite was an orange tree. I have to say, it was a nice little surprise to discover this morning. The Hubs and I enjoyed a little bit of a leisurely morning before heading out to Tombstone (for those of you that are not history buffs, Tombstone is the town where the shootout at the OK Corral took place). We were strolling along the quaint little main street when suddenly we heard gunfire...well that peaked our curiosity...so of course we set out to find the source of said gunfire! We soon discovered the source of said gunfire was one of the many reenactments of the shootout performed periodically throughout the day. Sadly we did not locate the reenactment in time to watch. With our adventures in Tombstone completed we set out once again for Tucson. It was then that what was the best moment of the day for me occurred. As we were driving out of town, coming towards us was a gentleman driving a motorcycle with a side car and pulling a small trailer. Seated in the side car was a woman, and seated on this woman’s lap was a full grown St. Bernard wearing pink sunglasses, and in the trailer was yet another full grown St. Bernard! I wish I had been able to get a picutre of it for you to see. As we continued our return trip, we encountered our second border patrol checkpoint since arriving in Arizona. Nothing says “Welcome to Arizona” like a border patrol checkpoint! Apparently the Hubs and I both have innocent looking faces, because for a second time we were waved through without issue. Since we were retracing the final part of our journey into Tucson, and because this time we were doing so in daylight, the Hubs made a small detour back to the town of Vail so that I could take a picture of the open range cattle sign, just in case you didn’t really think it existed...Lol. Today was filled with many little things that made me smile and laugh, and it was capped off by the sight of a lovely thumbnail moon over the city of Tucson. I hope your day was filled with many little things which made you smile and laugh as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
