Although it felt more like the wind was trying to blow us away from town!
Well today marked the end of our first official RV adventure. We managed to travel through three states and six cities in nine days. Not too shabby for a pair of rookie RVers! We were able to see parts of the United States we have never seen, and check one or two items off our bucket lists as well. The Hubs and I set off this cold and rainy morning from the Texas Panhandle headed for Central Texas, a.k.a. home. Our seven hour trek took us from the flat, empty Texas Panhandle, through the wind turbine covered fields of North Texas, and into the cattle covered pastures of Central Texas. Even though we made the journey on an overcast and windy day (the sun did actually peek out of the clouds for about 30 seconds), I really can’t complain. The weather the previous eight days had been absolutely spectacular which made for a wonderful vacation. While it was nice to finally take some time for ourselves, and we both enjoyed our adventure immensely, it was still nice to be home. We were greeted at the door by two extremely excited pups who had apparently missed us quite a bit. In fact, I think Piglet Grace was wagging her tail so fast she may have almost folded herself in half at one point! These past nine days have been some of the best I’ve had in quite some time and they were made all the more special because they were shared with the Hubs. In this fast paced and demanding world we live in we often get so wrapped up trying to meet the many demands put upon us that we forget we need to take time for ourselves. I hope you will remember to take time for yourself, whether it be traveling or just staying at home, and forget all about those demands...you deserve it!
Blessings, Candi 💕
