Okay...so it was only a baby orchid, but it’s still a baby.

Orchids have always been one of my favorite plants. Their blooms are so beautiful, delicate, and varied I can’t help but be fascinated by them. Over the years I have had many orchid plants of differing varieties but I have not always been successful in keeping them alive. Since moving to Central Texas I have had much more success in keeping them alive (apparently they, like I, prefer Texas) however I still have not had much success in getting them to bloom again once their initial blooms have fallen off. So...you can imagine my surprise when, while watering my plants today, I discovered not only were there new blooms forming on one of my orchids, there was also a baby orchid plant sprouting from a flower stalk! It took a minute for me to actually believe my eyes, but once I had finally processed what I had seen I had to smile. The beauty and resilience of nature is truly amazing to me. It’s a type of resilience that knows no limits or boundaries. This has been a difficult year for each of us in our own way, but I hope you see the beauty in nature and are reminded you too are capable of the same type of resilience.

Blessings, Candi 💕
