As every kitty says...”If it fits, I sits!”

You’ll have to excuse Stitch’s cranky expression, she is not a fan of having her picture taken. However, what Stitch is a big fan of is crinkle balls, the more the better in her opinion, as well as fitting herself into some of the snuggest spaces possible. On this particular day both were made possible thanks to the actions of her hooman sister Haleigh. We have found it is necessary to limit Stitch’s access to said crinkle balls due to her tendency to bat them underneath the heavier pieces of furniture in the house (the last time the bookcase was moved I swear there were no less than a half dozen crinkle balls found). To her great delight the crinkle ball hiding place was revealed and, to her even greater delight, they were being kept in a cubbyhole into which she could attempt to squeeze herself! After having a grand time squeezing herself into the cubby, and then suffering the humiliation of having her picture taken, she chose a crinkle ball and she was off! It did not take long at all for her to disappear into the front room where we could hear her bouncing off dining room chairs and other furniture in her pursuit of the coveted crinkle ball. The level of joy she experiences from the simple act of batting a shiny, crinkly little ball around the house reminds me of a time when I too was amused by the simplest of things. As we grow older, and the demands of adulthood weigh on us, we seem to forget what it is like to find joy in the simple things. Thanks to Stitch, I was reminded of the feeling of finding that type of joy. I hope you also where reminded of the joy to be found in the simple things.

Blessings, Candi 💕
