I wonder if she’d read my assigned chapters for this week...hmmm, maybe I’d best do that myself.

I grew up a dog person, in large part because my father absolutely could not stand cats, something to do with the sound they made while purring I think, but had no objections to a dog in the house. It wasn’t until I met the Hubs that I, somewhat reluctantly, became a cat owner. My limited interactions with cats up to that point had taught me cats were not the same goofy and affectionate creatures dogs are. In fact, I had pretty much learned cats are aloof at best and bi-polar at worst (a fact proven the day I literally had a Siamese cat claw it’s way up one side of me and down the other simply because I dared try and pet it)! The other thing I have learned about cats is they go wherever they want, regardless of whether or not the silly hoomans in the house say they shouldn’t. In this particular case, in order for Stitch to make it to the bookcase she must first jump up on the kitchen counter and then walk across the bar. Even though I’d rather she not traipse across my countertops, I can’t help but chuckle every time I come into the room and see her perched on the bookcase looking so studious. I’ve discovered even though cats are not overly affectionate or as goofy as a dog can be, they still have their own way of showing the silly hoomans in the house they do actually love us, even if it’s just the simple act of giving us something to chuckle at. Hopefully you have come across something today that has made you chuckle a little too.
Blessings, Candi 💕
