Well...more like my hair stylist cut most of it off, but with scissors and a razor blade, not an axe.

Today I had an appointment to have my hair cut which is something I always look forward to. It may seem strange that a hair appointment would be something which would be so eagerly anticipated, but for me it always makes me happy. There is something about the thought of having my color touched up and my cut trimmed which makes me feel better. I know there are some who dread going to see their hair stylist or barber, the thought of having to make small talk seems like a form of torture, but for me that isn’t the case. I enjoy the time I spend with my stylist, and after having been her client for almost five years, consider her to be a friend. While I am not a big fan of having to sit in the chair for forty five minutes waiting for the color to process, I do enjoy the next part of the process immensely...the shampoo! There is something about sitting in that shampoo chair with my head tilted back and having someone shampoo and condition my hair which is to me the ultimate in relaxation. I would rather have my hair shampooed than a massage (seriously, if I were ever to become independently wealthy, the first person I would hire would be someone to shampoo my hair daily). Besides the moments of bliss experienced in the shampoo chair, and the time spent chatting with my friend, there is the feeling of renewal that comes from having a freshly colored and trimmed hair style which makes me feel a little bit better about myself. Sometimes it’s the little things, like a fresh hair cut, which make all the difference in the world. Hopefully you have found the little thing which has made all the difference for you too.
Blessings, Candi 💕
