Oct. 8th - The Day Christmas Began 🎄

So maybe Christmas didn’t begin today... but preparations for Christmas did!

It has been a nice quiet day so far and I decided today would be a good day to get a start on Christmas presents. I know for some people Christmas shopping equates to frenzied trips to the mall or shopping outlets, or maybe a marathon online shopping spree, or even the last minute dash to any store which may still be open at zero hour on Christmas Eve (yes, that last one was directed at the Hubs...Lol), but I have decided to take a more personal approach to things this year. This year my creative juices have been flowing, and I have decided to use those creative impulses to make hand crafted gifts for friends and family. I won’t go into details, I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, but I will say this year‘s gifts will be hand made with love and care. I can only hope each recipient will experience as much joy and happiness in receiving the gift as I have in creating each gift. Being able to relax and enjoy the process of making these gifts is in a way a gift to myself as well. Not having to face the Christmas shopping crowds, or worrying about whether or not the gifts I ordered online will arrive on time, will provide me with the gift of peace, making this year’s Christmas season a much more relaxed and jolly experience. I know not everyone has the extra time to create hand crafted gifts, but I do hope you will at least be able to get a head start on your Christmas shopping so you may also experience a much more peaceful and jolly holiday season with your family and friends.
